My son was murdered today
by truman ini have been on this site daily, almost from its beginning, since i left the jws in 2001, but i have been more of a reader than a poster, as you can see from my post count.
i know few here know me, although i know many of you through reading your posts.
maybe it is not right to ask for support, when i generally stay quietly in the background of this forum, but i want only to speak a human misery of the deepest kind.

Ridiculous reasons that "this MUST be the truth"!!!
by stillstuckcruz inever since i began researching about mind control, the organization, etc....i've really been paying attention to the actions and comments of the members of the congregation.
i've been noticing how so many people(usually the sisters) make up such ludicrous statements of how "this must be the truth"!.
for instance, the other day a brother at our hall who is only his early 40's was admitted to the hospital because of a bad infection.

everytime someone says "it must be the truth because" I just figure this proves the person is having doubts. Otherwise why keep trying to find something to prove it.

THANK YOU Steven Unthank
by cedars inohiocowboy has just posted this information on the two other threads dealing with the sudden collapse of the unthank cases.. i don't know steven unthank, but i just want to thank him from the bottom of my heart for having the courage against overwhelming odds to try and bring the watch tower society to justice over their deplorable neglect when it comes to protecting children from abuse and molestation.. steven is a man of justice and integrity who i deeply admire.
his actions will never be forgotten, and i only hope he can find it within himself to continue his work in whatever avenue may become available in the future.. they have won this battle, but they can never win the war.. .
cedars.

Did Jehovah Destroy Jesus's Pre-Human Spiritual Body?
by VM44 indid jehovah destroy jesus's pre-human spiritual body?.
as jesus could not have two bodies at the same time, his "spiritual body" could not continue to exist while he was "human.".
it is said that jesus came to earth as a human, but if his spirtual body was destroyed, what was left to "come" to earch?.

I would say no because he was transferred to the virgin mary. This took a miracle so no explanation needed.
(Matthew 1:18) 18 But the birth of Jesus Christ was in this way. During the time his mother Mary was promised in marriage to Joseph, she was found to be pregnant by holy spirit before they were united. . .
Not sure how wt would explain it but i would say that if god can take a human and make him a spirit (1 Corinthians 15:44-45) then why not vise versa?

Did Jesus sacrifice really mean anything?
by highdose insuspending for a minute the realisation that it never happened and instead looking at it as a beliver would.... jesus had to endure a painful death, yes.
but he knew that he would only be dead for three days and that afterwards he would get reserected and be able to mind f**k around with those who had put him to death.
and then he would live for ever in a brand new body!

In my opinion your missing the point. Just like the wts in trying to put a value on the ransom. (life for a life). It is not about the value but the outcome. Because of Jesus sacrifice we can now be reconciled to God. This is the essence of the Gospel. This is what it is all about. Everything from genesis to revelation. The beauty of it is that a person can accept it or reject it. Eventually all will have that opportunity.
(Colossians 1:18-20) . . .He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that he might become the one who is first in all things; 19 because [God] saw good for all fullness to dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile again to himself all [other] things by making peace through the blood [he shed] on the torture stake, no matter whether they are the things upon the earth or the things in the heavens.

Acts 17, where's the organization, guys?!
by arko_n9ne ini was listening to the radio today.
kdkr dallas.
they were playing a q&a with ravi zacharias and he pointed out a passage in acts 17 that i was unfamiliar with, but it rung some bells in my head.. acts 17:24,25 (nwt): "the god that made the world and all the things in it, being, as this one is, lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in handmade temples, neither is he attended to by human hands as if he needed anything, because he himself gives to all [persons] life and breath and all things.".

Because those under the spell don't really hear what the bible is saying. When you think of all the terms used such as organization, governing body, and so on that are not in the bible and noone even questions? So they can teach what they want at will and the rank and file keep buying it.
The bearing thorough witness book a is prime example. What a joke and everyone at the hall thinks it is gospel truth! This book uses the word "probably" 11 times. The word "possibly" 15 times. The word "might?" 49 times. The word "may' 193 times. The term "governing body" 57 times. I could go on but i rest my case. They call this the "truth". Some of these useages may be proper but it just goes to show that they will stop at nothing with their teaching. They trump god's own word.

"NEW LIGHT" FROM BROTHER WALDO D/O SANTA MARIA ,CALIFORNIA 1/22/2012 "HOW JEHOVAH IS LIKE BROTHERS ACCUSED OF BEING A CHILD MOLESTER!
by Bubblegum Apotheosis ini was shocked to hear how the slander against jehovah's name that we see in the world can be compared to a good man accused of being a child molester.
he went on to describe how terrible such an accusation would be, and how "friends" of the accused would know he's not capable of such an act and would rally to his defense.
at several points in the talk, he refers back to the child molester "example" and how eventually, despite the hideous slander heaped on a man in this situation (depicting jehovah in the bigger picture, we assume), that man's good reputation would be restored.

"Where not haters of the human race" because they go door to door. That one cracked me up! Much better ways available for reaching people.
Many people in this world
consider higher education an indispensable
stepping-stone to prestige and an affluent
life. But we Christians live as temporary residents
and pursue different goals. We avoid
"minding lofty things." (Rom. 12:16; Jer.
45:5)Recently at an assembly the speaker said he would show a scripture that would prove getting further education is wrong. He read (1 Corinthians 8:1) . . .Knowledge puffs up. . . His comment went well with this paragraph. But I was looking at my bible going what the?
Also I wish I would have become a doctor. I wish this so I could help people, not to step-stone up to be prestigious. NO BALANCE in this article. In fact the only balance was offered through some of the commentors at the meeting.
"From personal experience, many of
our fellow believers have found that our
heavenly Father supplies the things they
need."No crap!!!! but they also know it will not fall out of the sky and they must do their part.
Nice job blondie!!! I was sitting there during the watchtower study on each paragraph and thinking " I wonder what blondie will say to this"
